ON THE SET: AARAKSHAKA

For the first time in his 15-year long career, maverick Upendra (Uppi) is donning the coveted khaki! The movie is aptly titled Aarakshaka with Uppi playing the cop-protagonist protecting society from evils. But then, we hear that the film belongs to the psychological thriller genre. How, you ask? All that Uppi has to say is, “Wait and watch! I don’t want to reveal too much.”According to insiders, Uppi will be seen in multiple avatars in the movie.

Most of the shooting took place near Mysore in a remote location. Director P Vasu ensured that the outside world could not venture into the movie sets. Incidentally, Upendra is just as secretive. He never reveals the storyline or lets us into his character. The movie was also shot in Hyderabad, Thailand and Indonesia. "This is the only film for which i never asked the director any questions.
