Kool in theatres this week

Golden Star Ganesh’s maiden directorial venture Kool will be released in more than 70 theatres this Friday across Karnataka. Produced by his wife Shilpa Ganesh under the banner Golden Movies, Kool is vital project for Ganesh, as none of his films have fared well at the box office in the recent times.

The movie has had its own share of controversies. Director Mahesh was axed from the project after he developed differences with acclaimed cinematographer Rathnavelu. Prior to that, Hindi TV artiste Aamna Sharief was dropped from but wasn’t informed of it.

Amidst all these downturns, Ganesh assumed the role of the director for the movie that’s his second home production. According to him, Kool will start a new trend in Kannada films. The female lead of the film is another Hindi import Sanaa Khan, who will make her debut in Kannada. V Harikrishna has composed the music for ‘Kool’. The title track ‘I am cool’ has already become a hit. The movie was shot extensively in West Asia, including Egypt, Jordan, and Dubai.
