With the critically acclaimed Krishnan Love Story completing 50 days in several theatres, Radhika Pandit, the female lead of the movie is on a high. The actress is now one of the stars in demand in the Kannada film industry with many of her films becoming hits in the last two years.

Krishnan Love Story success was foretold much before the movie hit the screens. For, its director Shashank’s previous two films were mega hits. Moggina Manassu through which Radhika launched her filmy career was a commercial success. It fetched her the “best actress” award.

In 2010, she will be a strong contender for the best actress award through Krishnan Love Story. Buoyed by the success of the film, Shashank has already announced a sequel to the movie. Radhika appeared in a highly deglamorised role in the movie. But she has become the darling of the Kannada film fans.

In her next film, Gaana Bajaana, Radhika will be seen in a glamorous role, a complete image make over for the actress. According to the actress, she will be seen in an appearance never seen before on the big screen. The musical film is being directed by Prashanthraj, who directed 2009’s hit film Love Guru with Radhika Pandit and Tarun.

It seems like Radhika is enjoying success through directors Shashank and Prashanthraj. While the team that made Moggina Manassu was involved in Krishnan Love Story, technicians who worked for Love Guru have teamed up for Gaana Bajaana.

Gaana Bajaana title has been lifted from the popular dance track Hosa Gaana Bajaana, the hit number from Puneet Rajkumar-Priyamani starring Raam.

Meanwhile, Radhika who toured the state interacting with her fans is taking a well-deserved break. She is preparing to promote Gaana Bajaana.

The actress is getting plenty of enquiries from the Telugu film industry, but she is busy for now in Kannada. She is expected to sign a big budget film from a well known banner in Kannada films.
