smile, with good movies like Engeyum

Prasthanam, Andhari Banduvaya, Gamyam, 

Vennela and Amma Cheppindi in his 

filmography. With no film background

to prop him up, he entered the industry 

and has now carved a niche for himself 

by looking for author-backed roles with 

different scripts. Sharwanand claims he is 

selective about his scripts and doesn’t mind 

waiting till the right one comes along. “I 

didn't sign a film for one-and-a-half years 

after Prasthanam. I liked the script of EE; I 

believed in it and it worked. The only thing 

that excites me is good work. I can’t sign 

on for what I don’t believe in,” he smiles as we ease into our conversation. I was prepared

with a lineup of questions for the actor, but he surprised me by taking the lead...
