Mumbai, Karthika Nair was carefully shielded from the limelight and filmdom. Radha, her mom had taken all caution to not talk about any movie that Karthika was being offered as a child. It was only after having passed her 10th board exams with a first class and an excellent score card, that her mom divulged to her the movie offers that were pouring in. Karthika says, “I am the eldest child and I have been very responsible. Acting in movies was never my aim. I am still studying for an international degree in Business from a college affiliated to the London School of Economics.” Even after meeting with success in films, she still does not consider movies as her sole career. She adds, “My dad is my hero. I have always looked up to him as a child because he has handled both his family and his hotel business stupendously. I would want to give him a hand in his hotel business down the line; that’s why the Masters in Business was my option.
