string of Telugu and Tamil hits have proved, Richa Gangopadhyay is clearly on the highway to success. In a chat with Rinku Gupta, she reveals her passion for films and how working with some of the best in the industry, has whetted her appetite for more Born in India but raised in the USA (she even bagged a Miss India USA title in 2007!), Richa is a thorough professional sans airs, and determined to take her career seriously. An actor with Lady Luck on her side, Richa is aware of just how fortunate she has been with Leader, her Telugu debut, “Leader was a complete dream-come-true. In my first film itself, I was working with the critically-acclaimed director Shekhar Kammula, opposite the great Ramanaidu’s grandson, Rana, under AVM, one of the biggest banners in South India. And, I had a meaty role! Playing Archana, got me a lot of recognition, and I was complimented as an actress of substance as well as glamour.”
