Arya completes Boss Engira Bhaskaran; Chikku Bhukku soon in offing

After making waves with a period film Madharasapattinam, Arya is all set to make a comeback with two back to back entertainers. Two films, Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Chikku Bhukku are soon in the offing.

The entire shooting of Boss Engira Bhaskaran was wrapped up in Chennai on August 3 and the entire unit celebrated the occasion. A song ‘Kumbakonam Vethalai…’ had been shot on the final day. Rajesh has directed the film and the film is said to be a comic caper on the life of a middle class family. Arya had even turned producer for this film and bought the distribution rights but later the theatrical rights were sold to Udhyanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies. Interestingly, Udhyanidhi Stalin is all set to make his onscreen debut in a comedy film to be directed by Rajesh. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music and Shakthi Saravanan is the cinematography.The film is set for a September release and it also stars Nayanthara, Santhanam.

Before Boss Engira Bhaskaran hits the screens, Arya will be first seen in a romantic travelogue Chikku Bhukku. Directed by K Manigandan, the film also stars Shriya, Preetika Rao. The film narrates a love story which begins in London and ends in Karaikudi. Media One Global Entertainment has produced the film and Majestic Multimedia Limited banner is presenting the film. Leslie Lewis, of Colonial Cousins duo has composed the music of this film which has seven songs. Two songs and the background score have been composed by Pravin Mani, who is a longtime associate of A R Rahman. The audio launch of this film has been scheduled on August 13. Think Music is going to launch the music of Chikku Bhukku. The audio label had recently launched the audio of Shankar’s Endhiran which has turned out to be an instant bestseller.
