Cinematographer turned director K V Guhan has directed this film which is a remake of a hit Telugu film, Happy Days. Prakash Raj has produced the film on his home banner Duet Movies. The film’s story unfolds in a college and depicts the lives of six students as they go through varied emotions in their college life. Narayan, Arun, Vimal, Sharan Sharma, Reshmi Menon, Sonia, Benaas, Gia Umar play lead roles. Mickey J Meyer, who had composed the music for the original Telugu version is reprising his role for the Tamil version as well.
Speaking at the audio launch, Mickey said that he treated Inidhu Inidhu as a remake and hence didn’t use the same tunes. Although he has retained two tunes from the original, Mickey is said to have used tweaked in some tunes. To promote the film, Prakash Raj is planning to go on a road trip to Chennai malls, multiplexes and to Madurai, Tiruchi and Coimbatore to promote the film. He’s also planning to go some colleges across Tamil Nadu and meet the students personally. Apart from a contest will be launched to select the coolest campus in the state, keeping the theme of the film in mind. “These decisions have been made since the film is for the youth, by the youth and from the youth,” he says.
