Varun Sandesh's Kudirithe Kappu Coffee set in Coorg
Varun Sandesh’s career has been a roller coaster ride so far and it doesn’t show signs of stopping anytime soon. After films like Kurradu, Maro Charithra and Happy Happy Ga…, he’s acting in a new film titled Kudirithe Kappu Coffee. The film is going to be directed by Ramana Selva, who had earlier worked as the cinematographer for Village Lo Vinayakudu. Mahi and Shiva are producing the film under Shiva Productions and Moon Water Pictures banner.
The film was launched in the last week of August. Sai Kiran Adivi, the director of Vinayakudu and Village lo Vinayakudu, directed the opening shot, while executive producer Vimal sounded the clap board. Mahi switched on the camera during this launch. The shooting of this film will be held in Hyderabad for a while and later it will be shot in Coorg. Speaking about the film, Mahi says, “The film will be as invigorating as a hot coffee on a rainy day”.
The film is a romantic comedy which has a tagline Veelaithey Naalugu Maatalu. Both the title and the tagline are inspired from an immensely popular dialogue from the film, Bommarillu starring Genelia and Siddharth. Suma Bhattacharya is making her debut in Telugu in Kudirithe Kappu Coffee. A trained Kathak dancer and model from UK, Suma was one of the finalists in Miss India Worldwide Beauty pageant in 2008. After coming to India, she was working with Shahrukh Khan’s production company Red Chilies Entertainment before she got this offer in Telugu film industry. Abburi Ravi has written the dialogues while Santosh of Andhamaina Manasulo fame is the cinematographer of Kudirithe Kappu Coffee.
